Jeremy Hager comes from a humble background. Born and raised in an Army family in a small-town Alabama, he grew up befriending people from all walks of life. He graduated from Auburn University and majored in History, with minors in French and German. He continued his education at Marquette University School of Law, where he specialized in Criminal and Intellectual Property Law. There he acquired the tools and drive to seek justice.
After defending those accused with crimes in Milwaukee, Jeremy returned to the South, honing his skills as a Georgia prosecutor for over 10 years. In this role he worked to help victims of crimes ranging from thefts and fraud to sex crimes, violent homicides, and gangs. As a prosecutor, Jeremy was a thorough, adept and aggressive advocate for victims and the citizens of Georgia. Jeremy earned a reputation as an earnest litigator, who was tenacious and quick on his feet, especially during trial. He impressed judges and juries alike with his skills in the courtroom, and numerous guilty convictions, even in extremely difficult cases.
Despite this advocacy, he never lost his humanity. Those who have lauded his skill as a prosecutor have never accused him of being unfair, malicious, or cruel. As a prosecutor, his philosophy was to protect victims and the public, but never unethically or maliciously. For this reason, he earned the respect of his fellow prosecutors and defense attorneys. Jeremy has been a public servant for over a decade and has now decided to further serve the public by protecting the rights of the accused facing charges brought by the state. He has seen poor advocacy and lazy attorneys many times in court. He has heard the call for good criminal defense attorneys, unafraid to take the State to task and a case to trial, and Jeremy is not afraid to answer that call.
